  • Before and During High School
    • A Life 4 Me
      From the Partnership for People with Disabilities in Virginia, this cyber community is for middle-school students to help them explore and learn about jobs as they transition to high school.
    • Bridge to the Future
      An online, 12-page training about employment for youth with disabilities that includes tips for working with professionals, assessing skills, and a quiz. The training includes other sections on school transitions, maturation and adult intimacy, recreation, Medicaid in Utah, human rights, assistive technology, advocacy, and more from an advocacy organization in Utah.
    • Work-based learning
      From the Pacer Center, this two-page handout describes work-based learning, opportunities for students to learn through unpaid work, job shadowing, mentoring, community service, or other work experiences. The handout discusses the community-based component, training plan, agreement, accomodations, and more.
    • StudentJobs.gov
      From the U.S. Government, this website has information about job openings, creating a resume, training opportunities, and more.
    • NCWD-Youth.info
      The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD/Youth) released an updated version of its content rich website, http://www.ncwd-youth.info/. The updated version of the website offers new content areas focusing on what all youth need with an emphasis on youth with disabilities and other vulnerable populations.

      This website, from the State of Utah, offers tips, tools, and online courses to help you learn about finding a job; learn about the military; find a youth training program; write a resume; prepare for an interview; find a job fair; and more.
    • University Disability Resource Centers
      Find a Disability Resoruce Center at a college in Utah and see what services might be available to help you get more education and prepare for a job.
    • Partners in Employment
      This detailed self-study course helps people with disabilities learn about employment issues and understand their strenghts, skills, and interests. The course takes about six hours to complte and there are additional assignments; from the Minnesota Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities.
